Division’s Responsibilities: This Division is responsible for the preparation of Tonga’s national climate change reports and the implementation of mitigation activities and projects. In addition, this Division continues to strengthen and build national capacities for the effective implementation of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement and meeting their respective reporting requirements by institutionalizing reporting activities within the Department of Climate Change, to ensure sustainability of reporting processes for national, regional and international purposes.
