1. To enhance institutional GIS capacity in Tonga to support the long-term use and management of the provided spatial data, including capacity to undertake coastal inundation modelling and basic risk assessment in a GIS environment. (a). To build the capacity of technical personnel in Tonga to use high resolution elevation data to undertake coastal inundation modelling. (b) To improve the ability of decision makers in Tonga to understand the nature, utility and limitations of the acquired LiDAR data, high resolution DEMs and other derived products. (c). To enhance capacity in the management and application of the acquired spatial datasets in GIS systems to ensure sustainable use and access to data. (2). To perform simple coastal inundation modelling and preliminary risk assessments for priority areas of Tongatapu.
