UNDP Project Management Training for NIM Project Staff

The Project Coordinators and Administrative Assistants of the Tonga’s Third National Communication Project and Ridge to Reef Project attended a three days UNDP Project Management Training in Suva, Fiji from February 4th – 6th 2015. The training was organized and conducted by the UNDP Suva Office staff for staff of Nationally Implemented Projects in Pacific Countries like Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

This training aimed at enabling the Project Staff to better manage and report on UNDP Projects with improved knowledge of;

Project documents, Annual Work Plans, Project Roles and requirements
Use of UNDP monitoring and reporting formats
UNDP Finance and procurement requirements and how they link to national systems

The training was very informative for the participants and it is hoped that the Project Staff will be now more capable in carrying out their responsibilities.
