Project Summary MFAT provide funding to be implemented by the Department of Climate Change in Building resilient systems for integrated water resource management under the New Zealand Aid Programme.
Project ScopeThis funding is to support water security through resilient in-country financial mechanisms. The project will be boarded under the Climate Change Trust Fund following two activities.
i. The existing National Water Tank Project
ii. A new sanitation initiative for household latrines to support water security through improved water quality.
Funding of four seniors to support MEIDECC in the following:
i. To assist communities and vulnerable segments of society with the completion of community development plans for water supply and sanitations applications to the CCTF for funding of rainwater tanks and latrines.
ii. To provide technical (climate change, financial and project design) pre-screening and assessment of water and sanitation funding applications to the CCTF.
iii. To provide support to CCTF operations.
