Contract signed for successful applications under the Climate Change Trust Fund’s Second Call

03rd December, 2019 CEO for MEIDECC, Mr. Paula Ma’u was privileged to meet with some of the applicants who were fortunate to receive funding from the Climate Change Trust Fund (CCTF). He raised the significance of working together between the Ministry of MEIDECC and communities to raise awareness on the impacts of climate change. He congratulated the four communities who will benefit from the second call of the CCTF and hope that the fund will build the resilient of these communities to combat impacts of climate change.

The contracts signing ceremony was held at the MEIDECC office in Neiafu, Vava’u between the four (4) representatives from the beneficiary groups and the CEO of MEIDECC which indicated the commencing of the implementation phase. One of the representatives from the four communities acknowledged the assistance by the Ministry of MEIDECC, Department of Climate Change and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the funding support they received today.
